Setting SIP server of 3CX PhoneSystem

A wall-mounted SIP-server allows to make calls between iRidium panels, IP-phones, soft-phones etc. 3CX PhoneSystem can be used as a SIP-server. This article describes how to set a SIP-server using 3CX PhoneSystem 12.5 as an example.

Installation of 3CX PhoneSystem

Use the manual from developers of 3сх to install the server.

When the server is installed, start 3CX Web Management Console (we'll set subscribers here).

Creating a List of Subscribers

To create a list of subscribes, go to the Add > Extension folder and fill in the main properties of a subscriber:

• First Name - the name of a subscriber, in iRidium it is Caller ID;
• ID - the number of a subscriber, in iRidium it is SIP ID;
• Password - a password to connect a subscriber (ID) to the server.

Setting iRidium as a SIP Subscriber of 3CX

1 Download and set one of the iRidium ready templates for SIP intercom. A project can be edited to suit your tasks and merged with your main visualization interface.

2 Set a driver to make calls:

Find the SIP driver in the Device tab and enter the parameters of a SIP-server and the number of a subscriber (iRidium panel).

Obligatory fields:

• Host: IP-address of the SIP-server;
• Port: 5060;
• Password: the password of a subscriber;
• Caller ID: the name of a subscriber (First Name);
• SIP ID: the address of a subscriber (ID);
• First-Last RTP Port: a range of RTP ports used for voice (it is important to open access to this range when working via the internet);
• Use SIP-DTMF Tone: a capability of tone dialing. Usually only DTMF is used;
• External IP: the external IP-address of THIS call panel. It must be entered ONLY of a panel calls a remote Host of the server, otherwise the field is left empty.

3 Set buttons to call other panels in iRidium.

To set a Call button, open the Programming tab. Find the Press event and enter the number of a subscriber that you want to call when the button is pressed (in our example it is 100).

Setting Video Intercom

Video intercom is set in iRidium studio like a SIP driver, but another SIP ID (Login) is used.

Demo Project

Example:

SIP SoftPhone - an interface with a capability to form a phone book and to set connection to different servers.

SIP Intercom - a project for home and office intercom system that is easier to set.

The project for a control panel that can be launched in the Emulator. When connection to 3CX server is successful, the On Hook... status appears in the interface . If you see the Registration status, check the settings of the server and the graphical interface.
