iRidium for Biamp Tesira
A set of tools to create control interfaces for equipment by Biamp.
The documentation was updated on 10.2.2023
Description
Biamp Systems is a manufacturer of digital systems to process and distribute sound. PA and sound systems can be created based on Biamp audio platform.
Tesira is their main product family.
Tested equipment:
Connection
Configuration is created in the native Tesira app.
The first step to integrate TesiraFORTÉ platfrom with iRidi and other software is to create a Tesira configuration file that includes blocks of USB inputs and outputs. Blocks of USB inputs and outputs can be entered in I/O Blocks menu in the Object Toolbar.
You can find a detailed desciption of preliminary setting of equipment and creation of a configuration file in Tesira Forte Manual.
Work in iRidium
1 Add Biamp Tesira driver in the DEVICES tab to a created project.
2 Enter the driver connection settings:
- Log Level - the level of logging;
- Host - IP-address of the camera;
- Port - port (23 by default);
- Login / Password - login and password for access to equipment with a protected project;
- Wait for Connect (ms) - time to wait for connection;
- Wait for Data (ms) - time to wait for feedback from equipment;
- SSL - a type of encrypting;
- Driver Version - a version of the driver.
Setting Commands and Feedback Channels
To control equipment it is required to set Commands and Feedbacks. To send a command, drag'n'drop it on a graphic item and enter a value to send. To display feedback drag'n'drop a feedback channel on a graphic item and choose how to output or display a value.
Read more about work with graphic items in the
"Types of graphic items" article.
Commands
Enter command settings:
- Name - the name of a command;
- Block - a type of block in the native app тип (it influences a list of attributes that will be displayed);
- Attribute Code - a type of command / feedback channel;
- Instance Tag - a unique name that a user enters or Tesira app generates when a block is created;
- Index 1 - index of a commad / feedback. Usually it is the number of input / room/ channel / output (if the channel type is output);
- Index 2 - index of a commad / feedback. Usually it is the number of ouput;
- Command - a command sent to equipment:
- get - get (any value);
- set - set (input values, depending on a command);
- toggle - switch (any value);
- subscribe - subscription to request of values from equipment (value of a request period in ms, by default it is 1000);
- unsubscribe - cancel of request subscription (any value);
- increment - a step of value increase (input values, depending on a command);
- decrement - a step of value decrease (input values, depending on a command).
The table gives a detailed description of setting parameters:
