Review of Divus Touchzone TZ10-B touch panel

Divus TZ10-B panel is multifunctional communication device based on Android that can work as an indoors control panel and provide audio and video connection. The range of DIVUS TOUCHZONE panel displays: 7”, 10", 15” and 19” where the only difference between them is the screen size.
Thanks to the capability to install mobile apps a user can use the panel as a platform to control items of smart home or to connect to third-party services of maintanence companies and office buildings.

The set includes:

panel,
2 bolts to mount the panel in a box (a box is bought separatelly),
Adjustable front panel,
Power adapter.

Appearance and Construction Features

The microphine, speaker, SD slot, button to turn on/off/block, mini usb port for debugging are located on the front part of the panel under a metal plate.The microphone has low sensitivity, that's why a person must speak quite loudly and near the panel.

The back of the panel has 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs, LAN port with PoE+ support, a power socket to connect DC 12-32V, two USB 2.0 ports.

There is no battety in the device. Power can be supplied via PoE or DC 12-32 V.

Display

The device has a mutlisensor screen with 10.1” diagonal and 1024x600 resolution.
The panel has an accelerometer for automatic change of the orientation when a panel is turned and used in different positions.

System and Productivity

The device has Android 6.0.1. There are no perinstalled Google Play services or Google Play store. That's why iRidium and other apps are installed only with the help of APK files. The installation and general management of the panel is done through a custom tool called DIVUS Synchronizer.

The built-in memory is 16 GB, but it can increased with Micro SDHC card.

RAM is 2 Gb.

Processor: Cortex-A53 Quad Core 1.5 GHz (64-bit).

Advantages and Disadvantages

The review pointed out main advantages and disadvantages of Divus TZ10-B panel:

Advantages:

Large screen 10.1”;
Ethernet to connect to the local network;
No battery;
Support of Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (optional);
PoE+;
Mini-USB to connect via ADB/OTG;
Remote management through Synchronizer app;
Digital I/Os.

Disadvantages:

Outdated Android 6.0.1;
No default support of push-notifications;
No camera;
No Kiosk-mode;
When a panel is reset or turned off, it takes the panel some time to turn on.

Adding Apps to the Main Screen

1 Make a long press on a free or occipied circle till a menu with app selection is opened;

2 Choose a required app and press assign;

3 If the desired app is not available, install it through the DIVUS Synchronizer and repeat these steps.

Setting Autolaunch of Apps

The chosen app (i3 pro, i3 lite, i3 KNX or some other) will be automatically launched when a panel is turned on. To set it, do the following:

1 Enter the settings by pressing the “Divus” logo in the top left corner of the screen and enter 0000 password and press ОК;

2 Go to Advanced ⇒ Autostart;

3 Press “autostart” and choose “App”;

4 Press “App autostart” and choose a required app;

5 Exit the settings.

Work with iRidium Pro

When a video stream of 640 x 360px resolution is played, FPS is 55-61 units. The video stream is smooth with good image quality. The video shows it well in comparison with iPad air 2.

When a video stream of 1280 x 720px resolution is played, FPS is 50-55 units. The video stream slows down, but the image quality is good. The video shows it well in comparison with iPad air 2.

When a video stream of 1920×1080px resolution is played, FPS is 40-50 units. The video stream slows down, but the image quality is good. The video shows it well in comparison with iPad air 2.

When a video stream of 3840 x 2160px resolution is played, FPS is 50-55 units. The video stream slows down a lot, the color of the image changes. The video shows it well in comparison with iPad air 2.
