Review of HDL-MTS57.1WI S57 control panel
Firmware version of the reviewed panel is v2.1
Review date 07/20/2019
The size of HDL-MTS57.1WI or S57 panel is 150x81x13.5 mm. It has 5.7` TFT-display with 1280х640 resolution. Pixel densiti of 251 PPI provides iamges of good clarity, but then the vieing angle is changed color rendering and contract are distorted. the panel supports Wifi, Bluetooth and Ethernet (RJ45) to connect to the locat etwork and to the Internet.
The sensor is very responsive, that's why commands, given by touch are done well and clearly.
The device does not have a battery, and it increases its reliabilty, no camera provide privacy. The panel is powered via PoE or under 24V constant voltage.
The panel has a proximity sesor and a light sensor, thanks to which the display is turned o when gestures are detected at a definite distance from the panel.
The device has Android 6.0. OS, but it does not have a preinstalled Google Play that is used to download and buy apps. That's why apps by iRidium and other apps are installed via APK file.
HDL S57 panels has a KIOSK-mode, that allows to limit the functions of a panel to the use of one app. It means that a user can interact with a panel only within one app and other panel functions become unavailable.
The panel is made for shockproof plastic and alluminuim alloys. A bracket for wall-mounting comes with the panel.
The panel does not support PUSH notification, thus it is not recomended for projects where push-notifications are used. In general, 1 GB RAM allows to use the panel in smaller iRidium projects.
