Special Features of iRidium Panel 7
1 A screensaver with a waiting time of no more than 10 minutes is obligatory in projects.
2 The panel does not support Push-notifications.
3 There is no Google or Play Market.
4 Use projects with a resolution no more than 1920×1200. Check the bandwidth of the network to broadcast a video stream.
5 Limit the use of Blur effects and animation, as they can decrease productivity.
6 Use iRidium server in projects with a lot of logic and scripts, thus, you reduce the workload on the panel.
7 It is not recommended to ise the panel with i3 lite app.
8 To prevent screen flickering, use "safe values" (40-100 % of brightness) to turn off light gradually, after it the brightness of the screen can be set to 0%.
9 The panel does not support automatic change of orientation. To change the orientation of the panel, open a fast access menu with a swipe from top to bottom and press a button to change the orientation of the screen (Rotation).
CAN bus77
iRidium Panel 7 had a built-in CAN bus that works via bus77 protocol. Thus, the panel can control devices working via bus 77 protocol directly without IP-gateway.
Manual on Mounting the Panel
Mounting in a pattrress box:
1 Put the fixing frame (it goes with a panel) to a standard pattrress box and fix it with two screws.
2 Install the panel to the fixing frame (magnetic fixture)
3 Screw up the screw to fix the panel in the frame.
The fixing screw can be screwed up no more than 6 full circles. After screwing more after this limitation (touch of the plastic limitation) the body of the panel can be damaged.
Semi-recessed mounting of the panel:
1 Install the metal box for semi-recessed mounting in the prepared opening in the wall. Fix the box with 4 fixators.
2 Install the fixing frame (goes with the box) in the box and fix it with 3 screws
3 Install the panel in the fixing frame (magnetic fixture). Check that the panel is installed horizontally and that the body of the panel touches the wall evenly (The horizontal line can be corrected by loosening the screws of the fixing frame).
When semi-recessed mounting, the fixing screw is not used.
Standard metal box for semi-recessed mounting can be installed in the wall with thickness from 15 to 32 mm.
Kiosk mode
"Kiosk mode" is a limitation on panel use to only one app. When i3 pro is launched in the kiosk mode, a use can't use other functions of this panel.
More about setting and activating kiosk mode is written in the limitation of functions of a control panel article.
