Types of mounting:
Installation in the mounting box
- Install the metal box for semi-recessed mounting (included in the additional panel kit) in the prepared opening in the wall. When preparing an opening in the wall, take into account the depth of the box construction with the installation box for concealed mounting with depth of 60 mm. It is required to use a pattress box when mounting the panel into a concrete wall. It is not required to use the installation box for concealed mounting when mounting in drywall.
- Put the fixing frame (it goes with a panel) to a standard pattress box and fix it with two screws.
- Perform interface communication with the panel (power supply, CAN, LAN) and install the panel to the fixing frame (magnetic fixture).
- Check that the panel is installed horizontally and that the body of the panel touches the wall evenly.
The anti-theft screw is not required for installing the panel into a metal box.
It is necessary that the mounting plate, placed inside the metal box is strictly oriented. The protruding part of the mounting plate in the form of a curved part of the plate at an angle of 90 degrees should be placed on the left relative to the installer!
Sectional view when installing the panel into the metal box:
Use a 60mm deep pattress box when installing the panel.

Mounting the box into the wall:
Mounting the panel in an installation box
- Install the fixing frame (it goes with the panel) in the installation box for concealed mounting and fix it with 2 screws
- Perform the interface communication with the panel (power supply, CAN, LAN) and install the panel in the fixing frame (magnetic fixture).
- If necessary, tighten the anti-theft screw (it goes with the panel) on the left side of the panel body.
To install the panel, use the installation box (pattress box) for concealed mounting with a diameter of 68 mm and a depth of 60 mm.
Attention!
Installation boxes (pattress boxes) for hollow and solid walls have different configurations of fastening elements, so when choosing a pattress box you need to make sure that the diameter of its internal cavity is at least 53 mm.
Sectional view when mounting the panel into the installation box for concealed mounting:
To install the panel, use the installation box (pattress box) for concealed mounting with a diameter of 68 mm and a depth of 60 mm.
Attention!
Installation boxes for drywall have different configurations of mounting tabs and mounting screws, so when choosing an installation box for mounting in drywall, make sure that the internal diameter of the free space in the installation box is at least 53 mm.
Orientation of the panel interface
The graphic interface of the panel is horizontally oriented by default. Changing the orientation of the interface is not possible using Android tools.
To change the project orientation, do the following:
1 Open the side menu in i3 Pro by swiping from left to the center and go to the panel settings (the gear icon in the top right corner).
2 To select a page with the required orientation, go to the Screen > Display types tab and choose a vertical (Phone) or horizontal (Tablet) orientation.
3 Restart the i3 Pro app.
You can't change orientation of panels purchased before 03.07.2023.

More about setting and activating kiosk mode is written in the Limitation of functions of a control panel article.
Attention! The panel is configured only when connected via Ethernet.
Presence sensor
To activate the presence sensor, add the script function of switching on/off this sensor:
- IR.EnableProximity(true); - switching on the sensor,
- IR.EnableProximity(false); - switching off the sensor.
The presence sensor can be used in several modes:
1 To exit the Screensaver mode. In order to reduce screen degradation (burnout) the software product has the Screensaver mode that is set up in the iRidium Studio when creating a project.
In this mode:
- The presence sensor takes the device out of Screensaver mode. The sensor is activated when there is an obstacle in front of the panel on the right side (a wave of the hand) at a distance of no more than 10 cm.
- When the presence sensor is activated, the panel switches from the Screensaver mode to a normal mode.
- After a specified period of time (set in the iRidium Studio) the panel will switch back to the Screensaver mode.
Note:
Turning off the screen completely is not allowed when using the i3 Pro app. In this case the i3 Pro app activates sleep mode and can't control the screen.
The presence sensor can activate the Screensaver that is included in the i3 Pro software product, only in the following cases:
- When the “Panel Settings" option is deactivated. The option should be in the inactive state.
- The screen-off time in the system settings is set to “Never”.
2 To wake up a turned-off screen. When using the mode of complete switching off the panel screen, set the settings in this way:
In this mode:
- After the screen is turned off due to the shutdown time or a short press of the PWR button, the display becomes inactive.
- To activate the display press the PWR power button. The presence sensor can also activate the display if there is any obstacle in front of the panel on the right side of the device (such as a waving hand), at a distance of no more than 10 cm.
- Choose the screen shutdown time.
- Set the Panel Settings parameter to the active mode.
Note: The i3 Pro software product is not used in the specified mode
