Types of mounting:
Installation in a Pattress box
- Install the mounting frame into the standard electric pattress box and fix it with two screws.
The protruding part of the mounting frame (bent at 90°) should be located on the left when mounting the panel horizontally or on the bottom when mounting the panel vertically.
- Connect the necessary interfaces - power supply, CAN, Ethernet.
- Install the panel into the mounting plate (magnetic mount).
- If necessary, tighten the anti-theft screw included in the delivery kit on the left side of the panel body.
To install the panel, use the installation box (pattress box) for concealed mounting with a diameter of 68 mm and a depth of 60 mm.
Attention!
Installation boxes for drywall have different configurations of mounting tabs and mounting screws, so when choosing an installation box for mounting in drywall, make sure that the internal diameter of the free space in the installation box is at least 53 mm.

Installation in the mounting box
The mounting box is not included in the standard delivery kit of the panel with product code P6 and is purchased as part of the delivery kit of the panel with product code P6-mb, please note it when ordering.
- Install the metal box for semi-recessed mounting in the prepared opening in the wall. When preparing an opening in the wall, take into account the depth of the box construction with the installation box for concealed mounting with depth of 60 mm. It is required to use a pattress box when mounting the panel into a concrete wall. It is not required to use the installation box for concealed mounting when mounting in drywall.
- Install the mounting frame into the metal box and fix it with screws.
The anti-theft screw is not required for installing the panel into a metal box.

Network and power connection
Installation and maintenance of the product should only be carried out by qualified specialists with compliance with safety measures.
The device is powered by one of the specified methods:
- from a PoE+ source (802.3at) using an Ethernet connector;
- from a 24V DC direct current source via the CAN bus terminal (Bus77) in accordance with the marking indicated on the device.
When connecting to an Ethernet network, the panel uses the settings from the DHCP server by default.
To use static settings, go to Android System Settings:
Go to the “Network and Internet” section and select “Ethernet”:
Go to the “Ethernet ip mode“ section and choose the ”Static" option:
Enter the required network settings and click “Connect”:
Downloading and installing APK files on your device
There is no Google Play on the panel, so you need to install the application using the APK file:
- Open "'Settings"' of the panel.
- Go to the Apps and Notifications > Advanced > Special Access > Unknown Apps section.
- Allow the installation of third-party applications in the browser through which you will download the file (for example, Firefox).
- Download the .apk file of the required application from the website iRidium through the previously selected browser.
- Launch the application installation via the Downloads menu or from the file manager.
Functionality with the i3 Pro application
The i3 Pro application is preinstalled on all panels by default and is ready to use.
Update of the i3Pro app
To quickly update, launch the i3 Pro application and go to the "System Menu" ("swipe to the right from the left edge of the screen") and find the "Check app update" section:
If you have the latest version of the application installed, you will see a window with information about it:
Blocking the functionality of the control panel
If you need to use panels in public spaces, it is possible to limit the functionality of the control panel using the i3 Pro application, in particular:
- automatic launch of the i3 Pro application at the start of the panel and blocking the exit from the application – launcher mode;
- restricting the use of the panel only by the i3 Pro application and blocking access to settings – kiosk mode.
More about setting and activating kiosk mode is written in the Limitation of functions of a control panel article.
Orientation of the panel interface
The panel's graphical user interface is oriented vertically by default.
Changing the interface orientation is not possible using standard Android tools, but the interface orientation can be changed in the i3 Pro application.
To change the project orientation, do the following:
1 Open the side menu in i3 Pro by swiping from left to the center and go to the panel settings (the gear icon in the top right corner).
2 To select a page with the required orientation, go to the Screen > Display types tab and choose a vertical (Phone) or horizontal (Tablet) orientation.
3 Restart the i3 Pro app.
You can't change orientation of panels purchased before 03.07.2023.
Presence sensor
The presence sensor can be used in several modes:
- Unlocking the screen using the presence sensor using the Android OS;
- To switch to ScreenSaver mode in the i3 Pro application in order to reduce screen degradation.
Unlocking the screen using the presence sensor
Note: The i3 Pro software product is not used in the specified mode
In this mode, the screen is automatically locked by timeout and unlocked by the presence sensor using the Android OS:
- After the screen is turned off by timeout ("user-defined shutdown time") or by briefly pressing the PWR button, the display will switch to inactive mode.
- The display is turned on when the PWR power button is briefly pressed, or when the presence sensor is activated, by the presence of any obstacle in front of the panel on the right or upper side of the device ("for example, a wave of the hand"), at a distance of no more than 10 cm.
To activate the screen unlock by the presence sensor in the Android OS settings, enable the Turn on the screen by proximity sensor option in the Panel Settings section:
Screensaver in i3 Pro and presence sensor
In this mode, the panel screen (Screensaver) is automatically turned off by timeout and the screen is turned on by the presence sensor using the i3 Pro application:
- The presence sensor takes the device out of Screensaver mode. The sensor is activated when there is an obstacle in front of the panel on the right side (a wave of the hand) at a distance of no more than 10 cm.
- When the presence sensor is activated, the panel switches from the Screensaver mode to a normal mode.
- After a specified period of time (set in the iRidium Studio) the panel will switch back to the Screensaver mode.
Note:
Complete turning off the screen is not allowed when using the i3 Pro app. In this case the i3 Pro app goes into sleep mode and will not be able to control the screen.
To activate this mode and the functionality of the presence sensor in the *.irpz panel project, you need to add a script function to enable/disable this sensor:
- "'IR.EnableProximity(true);"' - turning on the sensor,
- "'IR.EnableProximity(false);"' - turns off the sensor
The operation of the presence sensor in the ScreenSaver mode included in the i3 Pro app software product is only allowed:
- When the “Panel Settings” add-in is deactivated.
The switch should be in the inactive state.
- The screen-off time in the system settings should be set to “Never”.
Functionality of the PWR button
The on/off button of the display and panel has two functional purposes:
Turning on/off the display:
- the display will turn off and switch to inactive mode with a short press (the duration of the press should not exceed more than one second);
- to activate the panel display again, press the PWR button.
Turning the device on/off
- To turn off the device, press the PWR button and hold it for more than three seconds.
- After pressing and holding the PWR button, a pop–up window will appear on the device screen with a suggestion to turn off or restart the device:
- When you press the Restart button on the device screen, the device will restart.
- When you press the Turn Off button on the device screen, the device will be turned off.
- To turn on the device, press the PWR button with a short press. The device will turn on and switch to active mode.
