Important settings for i3 pro and iRidium server in iRidium studio
Parameters that influence the state of i3 pro and iRidium server when they are launched and when they work.
A panel project is a graphic interface supported by logic tools to control smart home.
A server project does not include a grphical part, it is a set of scripts, logic tools and a list of equipment to work with.
Settings for i3 pro
Settings of a panel project include general parameters to display, launch and control a project.
Opening a Settings Window
To open settings you can use of the variants below:
1. Click the right mouse button on the tab with a project name in iRidium studio and select Settings
2. Open PROJECT side panel to control pages and popups of the project and click the gear icon in the top right part of the panel
3. Click the "gear" icon in the control panel of iRidium Studio.
Catagories of Settings
In the settings of a panel project you can set: general parameters of a project (for example, screen resolution), functions that will be done at the start of the app (opening windows, pages, etc.), settings of the screensaver window. You can also secure your project with passwords, set debugging of a project or enter information about your customer and project.
General
- Resolution of project pages.
Меняя разрешение, можно You can scale an interface by changing the resolution. If you plan to scale an interface for different devices, start with developing an interface for the largest resolution not to lose the quality of images. Before scaling you select if windows and items wil keep their initial size ot if they will change proportionally to the page.
- Method of scaling.
It defines how an interface will be stretched when it is launched on a smartphone or a tablet with a resolution that is different from the resolution of the interface. For example, a difference in proportions will lead to black stripes appearing on the sides of the interface, when the method of scaling is "No" or "Proportionally", and the "Stretch" method can ruin the proportions of an interface that will be stretched to fill the whole screen.
- Color of unused zone.
It sets the color and opacity of stripes that appear when the resolution of the screen is different from the resolution of an interface project (when the scaling is "No" or "Proportionally"). Thus, the stripes can be made the color of the interface.
Start
- Start page and popups.
Select a page and a set of popups that will open when an interface is launched in i3 pro. Popups are opened in the order they are added to the list, the result can be seen in the preview.
- Behavior of i3 pro:
- Sounds on - control of playing any sounds in a project.
- Remember the state of project tokens - if you store data that are required at every project launch (passwords, user routines) in project tokens, put a tick in this field. Otherwise project tokens come to the initial state at every start of i3 pro.
- Multiscreen - display the i3 pro window on 2 or more monitors. To do this, you must specify the total screen resolution (for example, Custom 3840x1080 - for 2 screens with Full HD resolution).
- (for Android) Navigation buttons - show Android program buttons above visualization. It's important for tablets without physical navigation buttons in the operation system.
- (for iOS) Hide Home indicator - hide the "Home" button on the screen of the iOS device.
- (for Windows and OS X) Show cursor - show or hide a cursor within the window of i3 pro.
- (for Windows and OS X) Show status bar - open i3 pro window in full screen mode, but not to hide the taskbar (this setting does not work with the "Show frame of the app window" setting ).
- (for Windows and OS X) Fullscreen mode - open i3 pro fullscreen.
- (for Windows and OS X) Always on top - show i3 pro above all windows.
- (for Windows and OS X) Show frame of the app window - show i3 pro with a frame or without a frame.
- (for Windows and OS X) Location of the app window - open i3 pro at a definite place of the screen (by coordinates)
Screensaver
If the screen of a smartphone or tablet is not touched for some time, a screensaver page may appear or a script can be executed.
Screensaver is always a page (Page). You can come back from the screensaver to the page opened previously with the help of "Previous page" command. A button with this command must be placed on the screensaver.
An executed script is a JS function without input parameters, that can be executed when i3 pro determines stand-by for a set period of time.
Setting options:
- Show screensaver - show screensaver;
- Delay - time in seconds after which the screensaver is activated if the screen is left untouched;
- Show page - screensaver will open the specified page;
- Landscape screensaver - choose landscape page orientation for the screensaver;
- Portrait screensaver - choose portrait page orientation for the screensaver;
- Start script - run a script function when the screensaver is activated.
Passwords
- Set of system passwords. Each of 4 system passwords can be used on Buttons in a visualization interface. A button won't do a command assigned in PROGRAMMING, unless a password is entered. A password to ask is set in the settings of a button. Multilevel access to project functions can be realized this way.
- Access to project editing. You can create a password to ask each time when you try to edit the project. Thus the project can be protected from editing by other parties, who do not have access to the password.
- Create executable file.iRidium projects (*.irpz, *.sirpz) can be saved in the protected format which will not allow other parties to get access to project editing, its settings and resources (icons, sounds, images, equipment channels). Protected projects (*.pirpz, '*.psirpz) cannot be opened in Studio but they can be uploaded on control panels where the application will automatically unpack and start the interface.
Project encryption is an irreversible process. Files saved in the *.pirpz format cannot be turned back to *.irpz or edited. They can be only uploaded on control panels. Encrypted projects are saved together with the original ones. You can edit original projects only.
Debug
- When i3 pro is launched on a smartphone or tablet, the app log can't be seen the way it can be seen on a PC (in a window called with F4 button). But the log journal can be sent from a mobile device to a PC via SMTP protocol. To do it, install SMTP server that suits you on a PC and enter the address of SMTP server in the interface settings.
- Choose the required level of log control. The amount of information which log will get depends on the level of log control: from EMERGENCY to DEBUG (detailed information). You can find more information on debugging projects here.
Info
The info field contains information about a project: the address and phone number of the customer, the number of the order and a description of the contents. This info may be useful later!
Settings for iRidium server
Opening a Settings Window
To open settings you can use one of the variants below:
Click right mouse button on the tab with a project name in iRidium studio and select Settings
2. Click the "gear" icon in the control panel of iRidium Studio.
Catagories of Settings
You can enter the following in the settings window of iRidium Server project: settings and a way to connect to the server, coordinates (for the work of astronomical timers). You can set level of logging or enter information about a customer and a project.
Settings
1. Settings - a type of connection between i3 pro and iRidium server by IP-address or via Cloud Gate, when remote control is required:
- Type: Direct connetion - connecting i3 pro to the server direclty by the IP-address of the server. Enter the IP-address of the server and a connection port (30464) in the server settings. If necessary set login and password for connection, that can be written in i3 pro to connect to the server. Debug Level defines how much information is displayed in the server log. Debug means most detailed information is displayed in the log.
- Type: Remote cloud control - connecting i3 pro to iRidium server via Cloud Gate, that provides connection to the server via the internet without special settings on the router in an automation object. How to set Cloud Gate?
2. Location - longitude and latitude of a server location to set an astronomical timer of schedules.
Debug
- When a server works on a hardware platform, it's log can't be seen the way it is see when it is launched on a console on a PC. But the log journal can be sent to a PC. To do it, install SMTP server that suits you on a PC and enter the address of SMTP server in the interface settings.
- # Choose the required level of log control. The amount of information which log will get depends on the level of log control: from EMERGENCY to DEBUG (detailed information). You can find more information on debugging projects here.
- You can set different level of logging to different components of the server project (core, database, script, web server). If one of the logging levels of individual components exceeds the general logging level (clause 2), then the general logging level takes on the value of the highest logging level of individual components.
