iRidium for Kleger
a set of tools to create control interfaces for Kleger equipment.
The documentation was updated on 21.7.2021
iRidium for Kleger is a driver with a capability to add ready subdevices with a set of commands and feedback channels characteristic of this type. iRidium allows to emulate button presses from panels and to create an interface to control Kleger equipment.
Connection
Use Waveshare RS485 to ETH adapter for iRidium to work with Kleger devices. It functions as a gateway that sends a signal from iRidium that comes on the IP level to the bus with devices and back.
Define the IP-address of the converter, and if it is required make changes in the "Local IP Config" section. Later on IP must be entered in the driver settings.
Go to the "Serial Port" section and enter connection settings like on the screenshot.
Setting Devices
Connect devices to the bus and give each device a unique ID code. The ID code is later on used to send signals between iRidium driver and controlled devices.
Work in iRidium
1 Create a project.
2 Add Kleger Network driver, enter connection settings to the Waveshare RS485 to ETH adapter.
- Protocol - protocol (by default TCP);
- Host - IP-address of the converter;
- Port - connection port (by default 8998);
- Keep Alive - interval to check TCP connection;
3 Add devices connected to the bus and write ID Code of each device.

Setting Commands and Feedback Channels
To control equipment it is required to set commands (Commands) and feedback channels (Feedbacks). To send a command, drag'n'drop it on a graphic item and enter a value to send. To display feedback drag'n'drop a feedback channel on a graphic item and choose how to output or display a value.
Read more about work with graphic items in the
"Types of graphic items" article.
