    iRidium for Kramer 3000

    A set of tools to create control interfaces for equipment by Kramer.

    The documentation was updated on 23.12.2023

    The driver is available from 1.3.60 version

    Kramer KIT-400 — a kit which includes the KIT−400T transmitter/switcher and the KIT−400R receiver/scaler of 4K HDMI and VGA signals via HDBaseT twisted pair . The KIT−400T transmitter converts the user−selected input signal into the HDBaseT signal. The KIT−400R receiver receives the HDBaseT signal, converts it to HDMI and up− or down−scales the picture to match the resolution of the HDMI monitor.

    Сontroller — an abstract entity according to the Kramer Protocol 3000 documentation. Controller is a collecting device for commands and feedback channels of all Krammer devices that support Protocol 3000 (version 2.10).

    Tested with the following equipment:

    • KIT-400T - transmitter / switcher;
    • KIT−400R - receiver / scaler.

    Setting Equipment

    To preset the equipment, use the official documentation on the Kramer website.

    Work in iRidium

    1 Create a new panel and server project.

    2 Add Kramer 3000 driver in the Devices tab to a created project.

    Kramer3000 1.png

    3 Enter the driver connection settings:

    Kramer3000 2.png
    • Protol - TCP;
    • Log Level - level of logging;
    • Host - IP-address of the equipment;
    • Port - UDP connection port (5000 by default);
    • Update time - time of requesting the feedback channels in ms. Update time = 5000 by default, the maximum number of connections to the equipment will be 15. If you increase the Update time value, the number of connections will be increased;
    • Driver Version - version of the driver.

    4 Click left mouse button on the added Kramer 3000 driver and add required subdevices (Add subdevice). Each subdevice has a preset list of commands and feedback channels according to its type.

    Setting commands and feedback channels

    SendRecieve.png
    To control equipment it is required to set Commands and Feedbacks. To send a command, drag'n'drop it on a graphic item and enter a value to send. To display feedback drag'n'drop a feedback channel on a graphic item and choose how to output a value.

    Read more about work with graphic items in the "Types of graphic items" article.
