iRidium for LG TV
A set of tools to create interfaces for controlling LG TV-sets.
The documentation was updated on 20.8.2021
Description
iRidium for LG allows to create a control interface for LG TV-sets. The interface looks like a set of buttons and sliders that function like a remote.
LG TV driver consists of a full set of commands that do not require additional setting, and it does not have feedback channels.
The driver works with all LG TV-sets that support WebOS function.
The driver was tested on the following LG TV-set - 49UK6200PLA.
Connection
To connect to LG TV-set it is required to:
1 add LG TV driver to a project LG TV;
2 set the driver (see. "Driver setting");
3 assign driver commands to items of a graphic interface.
The driver is connected to a TV-set via a local network on condition that all settings are correct,
Driver Setting
1 Enter the Devices tab in a created project and add LG TV driver.
2 Enter connection settings of the driver:
- Log Level - the level of logging;
- Host - IP-address of the TV-set;
- Port - device port (by default 9761);
- SSL - a type of encrypting (Disable, TLS v1.2, SSL v2.3, SSL v3.0);
- Pin - the pin-code of a TV-set. To get the pin-code, do the following:
- enter the network settings of a TV-set,
- enter 82888 on the remote,
- turn on Network IP Control,
- the pin-code will be displayed on the screen. It must be entered in the driver settings.
- Mac - MAC address of a device (it depends on the type of connection). To get MAC address, do the following:
- enter the network settings of a TV-set,
- enter 82888 on the remote,
- turn on Network IP Control,
- MAC Address will be displayed on the screen. It must be entered in the driver settings. Choose Wireless for a wireless connection and Wired for a wired one.
Command
A full list of commands is formed when a driver is added to a project. The commands can't be changed, added to, or deleted from the driver. Control is done by means of sending a value to a command (Send number, Send string, send value from object). There are no feedback channels in the driver.
