documentation was last updated on 13.8.2020
Description
i3 lite for HDL Buspro is a simple tool that allow to create an interface to control a house or an office based on HDL equipment.
HDL interface module has everything that is required for easy and convenient work with HDL equipment.
You can see a full list of devices in the List of devices.
Installation of Module
1 Зenter the config.
2 Enter iRidium store, "Devices" tab.
3 Choose HDL interface module and press the "Add" button.
4 Enter the Host and Port of the HDL bus and press "Add".
Now "HDL interface is in the device list".
Adding HDL Devices
HDL devices can be added to the module with the help of:
- HDL scanner,
- manual data entry.
Method 1
The easiest way is to add devices with the help of a scanner.
The scanner will find HDL devices, choose required ones and press "Add devices".
Method 2
When devices are added manually, settings and additional parameters of devices are be set by you.
To do it, choose a required device in the list and enter its settings. You can see a list of devices and their detailed description in List of devices.

Remote control
Possibility to change connection parameters is required if you leave the Wi-Fi network of the object and start using 3G or another Wi-Fi network. To continue controlling a project, a switch is required from a local to a public IP-address of the internet router.
The switch does not happen automatically, you have to press a button to select a connection mode. For remote control of the system, ports to control the automation system must be made public. To do it Port Forwarding is set on the internet router, Protected connection can be provided by VPN.
You can find addressed of available remote HDL servers in the HDL Tool in the window for bus scanning after you switch a way to connect to the bus to Server.
HDL IP interface with firmware not earlier than HDL_V04.06U
access to the bus via Internet works via one licensed HDL IP interface (connection to several HDL IP interfaces via the Internet at the same time is not supported)
Enter Connection Preferences in the setting of HDL IP module: parameters of clients that must have connection to the HDL IP module.
- Type: Remote Server.
- Project Name, Group Name: name of a project or of a group of projects.
- User, Password: parameter of secure connection.
- Preferred Server, Port: parameter of secure connection to HDL server.
Enter connection parameters to the HDL IP module via a remote server in the module settings. You can find the address of the remote HDL server in HDL Tool, in the window for scanning the bus after you switch to connection to the bus via the Server.
