iRidium for Samsung TV

A set of tools to create a control interface of Samsung TV-sets of RU/R/Q*R series.

Description

iRidium for Samsung allows to create a control interface of Samsung TV-sets of RU/R/Q*R series. The interface looks like a set of buttons and sliders that function like a remote.

Samsung TV driver consists of a full set of commands that do not require additional setting and it does not have feedback channels.

Connection

To connect to Samsung TV-set, do the followingо:
1 Add Samsung TV driver to a project and set it (see. "Driver setting");
2 Set sending "Connections" command from a button of the ghraphical interface;
3 When a button, set in step 2, is pressed there appears a message on the TV screen about connection between the devices (it's required to confirm the connection from the remote).

Driver Setting

1 Add Samsung TV driver to a created project from the DEVICES tab.

2 Enter connection settings of the driver:

Protocol - WEB_SOCKET;
Log Level - a logging level;
Host - IP-address of the TVset;
Port - port (for TVs of the RU/R/ Q*R series, port 8002 is used);
SSL - a type of encrypting (use one of the encryption types for correct operation: TLS v1.2, SSL v2.3, SSL v3.0);
Mac address - Mac address of the TV;
Series - a type of TV-sets of 2019 (RU/R/Q*R series).

Setting Commands and Feedback Channels

To control equipment set Commands. To set a command drag'n'drop a command on a graphic item and enter a Value that must be sent.

Command

A full list of commands is formed when the driver is added. Additional commands can be added to a project. They have 2 parameters (Name and Action), that can be changed if it is required. TV-sets are controlled by means of sending a value to a command (Send number, Send string, send value from object). The driver does not have feedback channels.

Volume Up	Increase of volume
Volume Down	Decrease of volume
Power Off	Turn on / off TV-set
Up	The item works like the up arrow on a TV remote.
Down	The item works like the down arrow on a TV remote.
Right	The item works like the right arrow on a TV remote.
Left	The item works like the left arrow on a TV remote.
Connect	When the button is pressed, the driver connects to the TV-set.
Channel Up	Switch a channel forward
Channel Down	Switch a channel backward
Enter	The item works like a button on a TV remote confirming a choice
Return	The item works like a cancel or undo button.
Channel List	Open a list of channels.
Menu	Open the main screen menu
Source	Choose a source of the video signal (HDMI, VGA, etc.).
Guide	Display of Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
Tools	It is used for fast choice of frequently used functions.
Info	It is used to display information on the device screen.
Red	Choice of Fastext theme: Red theme.
Green	Choice of Fastext theme: Green theme.
Yellow	Choice of Fastext theme: Yellow theme.
Blue	Choice of Fastext theme: Blue theme.
Mute/Unmute	Turn off sound (the sound is turned on after another press)
0	It is used to change channels / to enter 0.
1	It is used to change channels / to enter 1.
2	It is used to change channels / to enter 2.
3	It is used to change channels / to enter 3.
4	It is used to change channels / to enter 4.
5	It is used to change channels / to enter 5.
6	It is used to change channels / to enter 6.
7	It is used to change channels / to enter 7.
8	It is used to change channels / to enter 8.
9	It is used to change channels / to enter 9.
DTV	Turn on DTV mode.
HDMI Switch	Choose HDMI source of signal.
Contents	View the start page of the Contents menu.
Exit	It's used to exit the menu.
Pause	Pause a video.
Play	Continue video
REC	Record video.
Stop	Stop video.
3D	Activate 3D mode on the TV-set.
Subtitle	Display of subtitles.
Fast Forward	When the button is held, the video is in fast forward.
Rewind	When the button is held, the video is rewound.
Home	Go to the main menu to the "Home" tab.
Search	It opens search of channels without opening the main menu.
Previous Channel	It is used to go the channel viewed before.
TTX Mix	It displays on the screen of the TV-set recorded information services in teletext.
Sleep	Put the TV-set in the sleep mode.
AD	The button turns on/off the function of voice description.
PIP On/Off	It turns on / off PIP mode ("Picture in picture" mode is a special mode when 2 images are displayed on the screen at the same time: the main video is displayed on the full screen and an additional one in a small window.).
Emanual	Viewing e-Manual (user manual).
PowerOn(WakeOnLAN)	Turn on the TV remotely over the local network.
