Samsung Smart TV

Samsung Smart TV - it's a module to control Samsung TV-sets of RU/R/Q*R series.

Samsung Smart TV - It is a module developed to control Samsung TV-sets of RU/R/Q*R series. This module can be built in a project (merged with a project) in iRidium studio and used to comfortably control basic functions of TV-sets.

Integration of a Module to Project

We made a project with a remote control for Samsung TV-sets that can be easily merged with your project.

The module contains:

Visual part:
- "TV_Samsung" page contains control items that look like a TV remote.
- "SmartTvIP" popup contains "Settings" window to enter the IP-address of a TV-set.
Java scripts:
- "SamsungTV" - script for the driver.

Working in iRidium studio

The module is integrated in several steps:

1 Create a folder in your project and name it "SamsungTV", select it to save pages of Samsung module.

2 Open a project with Samsung module and merge it with your own project with the help of drag'n'drop. All items will be moved to the folder you created

3 Create a button in your project and program it to call "SmartTv" page of Samsung module, where a remote is located.

Cloning Module to Use It on Another Device

To work with one more TV-set of the same series in a project, do the following actions:

1 Clone pages witht the visual part (SmartTv, SmartTvIp). Name them "SmartTv2", "SmartTv2Ip".

Only this numeration of pages allows the driver to work correctly with several devices.

2 Add the SetPopupTv("SmartTv2") line to the "SmartTv" script;

Connection to Samsung TV-set

Do the following actions for the remote to work:

1 Click the setting button .

2 Enter the IP-address in the "Settings" window.

After it a remote module starts working.

Functions of remote

1 Button to enter IP-address of the TV-set. Connection status is displayed next to it.

It opens a popup to enter IP-address.

2 Connect is a button that opens a popup to enter IP.

3 Fast access buttons. They provide fast access to certain functions of a TV-set.
