iRidium for Televic Conference
A set of tools to create control interfaces for equipment by Televic.
The documentation was updated on 12.5.2023
Description
Televic Group is a manufacturer of equipment for conference rooms. Televic Conference is a wired and wireless solutions, multi-language platform, a voting toolkit and camera tracking and audio recording software.
iRidium for Televic Conference - a set of tools that allows you to create an interface to control an audio system for conference rooms.
Tested with equipment:
- Plixus AE-R central unit;
- CONFIDEA T desktop microphone console.
Connection
The Televic Conference driver works via the HTTP protocol. The status becomes online only during data transfer, the rest of the time the status is always offline.
To connect to Televic equipment, it is required to:
1 Connect and set up Televic equipment (installation and operation manual.);
2 To control the equipment using i3 pro app, it is necessary to Enable API in the equipment settings (API is disabled by default);
3 Add and set up the Televic Conference driver in the created panel or server project.;
4 Assign commands and feedbacks to the elements of the graphical interface and configure the necessary project logic.
Work in iRidium
Create a new project and add Televic Conference driver to it with the help of a scanner or entering data manually.
Network scanning
Scanning works only in the local network - it allows to add all Televic devices to iRidium project. Here is how to do it:
- Create a new project and click Scan > Televic Scanner in the Devices tab;
- Fill in the IP-address, port, login and password to connect to equipment;
- Choose a device that you plan to control.
If the scanner can't find equipment, you can enter the driver settings manually:
Setting Driver
1 Add Televic Conference driver in the Devices tab to a created project:
2 Enter the driver connection settings:
- Log Level - the level of logging;
- Host - the controller IP-address;
- Port - port (8890 by default);
- Keep Alive - interval to check TCP connection. f there is no answer to Keep Alive request, the driver will be forced to the turned off state;
- Driver Version - version of the driver.
3 Click left mouse button on the added Televic Conference driver and add required subdevices (Add subdevice). Each device has a preset list of commands and feedback channels according to its type.
Setting Subdevices
- Name - the name of a subdevice;
- Driver Type - a type of the driver (Televic Conference);
- Device Type - a type of a subdevice (Plixus / Microphone);
- ID - a unique ID of the subdevice (it must agree with the ID in the web-interface of the equipment).
Setting Commands and Feedback Channels
To control equipment it is required to set commands (Commands) and feedback channels (Feedbacks). To send a command, drag'n'drop it on a graphic item and enter a value to send. To display feedback drag'n'drop a feedback channel on a graphic item and choose how to output or display a value.
Read more about work with graphic items in the
"Types of graphic items" article.
Plixus
Controlling Plixus central unit.
Mode value (1 ~ 25) determines the number of simultaneously activated microphones.
Commands
| Parameter |
Values |
Description
|
| Microphone Mode Operator |
1 ~ 25 |
Activates the "Operator" mode. In operator mode delegates cannot activate their own microphone. Only a command from CoCon, an operator, or the API can activate these delegate microphones.
|
| Microphone Mode DirectSpeak (Push) |
1 ~ 25 |
Activates "DirectSpeak" mode. Hold the microphone button to activate the microphone.
|
| Microphone Mode DirectSpeak (Toggle) |
1 ~ 25 |
Activates "DirectSpeak" mode. Press the microphone button once to activate the microphone.
|
| Microphone Mode Group Discussion (Push) |
1 ~ 25 |
Activates "Group Discussion" mode. Hold down the microphone button to activate the microphone.
|
| Microphone Mode Group Discussion (Toggle) |
1 ~ 25 |
Activates "Group Discussion" mode. Press the microphone button once to activate the microphone.
|
| Microphone Mode Group Discussion (Vox) |
1 ~ 25 |
Activates "Group Discussion" mode with voice activation of the microphone. The microphone becomes active when it senses sound above a certain threshold. Group mode is a semi-automatic mode for autonomous conferences where fewer protocols need to be followed and no operators are available. Pressing the microphone button activates the microphone unless the maximum number of open microphones has been reached. In this case, the microphone will go into request mode. When another microphone becomes inactive, the first microphone in the request list becomes active.
|
| Microphone Mode Request |
1 ~ 25 |
Activates request mode. In request mode, you will not be able to speak automatically when you turn on the microphone. First you need to request permission to speak. Then moderator allows you to speak using the "next in line" button (or using the operator page, CoCon, or API). The principle of "first come, first served" determines which delegate can speak first. Moderator's units (or VIP units) can speak at any time and they do not need to ask permission to speak.
