iRidium for ZONT
A set of tools to create control interfaces for equipment by ZONT.
documentation was last updated on 05.11.2023
The driver is available from 1.3.60 version
Description
ZONT provides control and remote control of the heating and hot water system, additional equipment and various electrical appliances (pumps, servo motors, lighting, automatic watering, gates etc.).
The driver is implemented using API ZONT Widget API 2.0.0 OAS3 and it allows you to get information about state of ZONT and Mega SX devices and to control them.
Attention! There are technical limitations of the driver when using it in a panel project:
- multiple connections to ZONT equipment using login and password are not recommended;
- use a server for multiple connections of iRidi interfaces to ZONT driver to prevent delays responces from ZONT cloud;
- the manufacturer's cloud accepts no more than 60 requests (commands and feedbacks) per minute from all devices (all mobile devices, stationary panels, computers and other devices in the house). To regulate the amount of requests use the Update Time parameter.
Tested with:
Preliminary equipment setting
Work in iRidium
Create a new project and add the ZONT driver to it with the help of a scanner or by entering data manually.
Network scanning
Scanning works only in the local network - it enables fast adding of all ZONT devices in iRidium projects. To do it do the following steps:
- Create a new project and click the Scan > ZONT scanner button in the Devices window;
- Enter login and password of the equipment web app;
- Choose a device to control.
If the scanner can't find equipment, you can enter the driver settings manually:
Driver setting
1 Add ZONT driver in the Devices tab to a created project:
2 Enter the driver connection settings:
- Log Level - level of logging;
- Login / Password - login and password to access to equipment;
- Update time (мс) - the frequency of sending requests to devices to update data about their state (no more than 60 requests per minute taking into account commands sent from all devices);
- Driver Version - version of the driver.
3 Click right mouse button on the added ZONT driver and add the required number of subdevices (Add subdevice).
Setting subdevices
- Name - subdevice name;
- Driver Type - type of the driver (ZONT);
- Widget ID - unique identifier of the widget;
- Widget type - type of the widget:
- Guard zone - security widget;
- Sensor - widget of the sensor that has an additional parameter with an unnumbered list;
- Sensor type - Temperature / Voltage / Pressure / Humidity / Opening / Motion / Leakage / Smoke / Room thermostat / Boiler failure;
- Hearing circuit - widget for heating circuits;
- Hearing mode - widget for heating modes;
- Custom control - custom control item.
Setting commands and feedback channels
To control equipment it is required to set Commands and Feedbacks. To send a command, drag'n'drop it on a graphic item and enter a value to send. To display feedback drag'n'drop a feedback channel on a graphic item and choose how to output a value.
Read more about work with graphic items in the
"Types of graphic items" article.
