iRidi Pro Server Activation

Server activation is the connection of a server to the object and license (trial or commercial) that maintain its operability.
Online licensing occurs only using the Internet through the iRidi Cloud. License acquisition and activation, as well as storage and updating of projects occurs on the cloud in integrator’s account.
Offline licensing allows to activate the license without having access to the Internet and to the iRidi Cloud. An offline license server stores visualization and server projects directly on the server encrypted, and a license is issued when buying a server as a USB key.
Online server activation
Activation of an online server occurs in 2 steps:
- creation of a cloud object in the iRidi.com personal account;
- association of a service with a cloud object.
If you want to activate the server with an offline USB key, use the instructions « Offline server activation».
Creation of a cloud object
Log in to iridi.com and go to the "My Projects" section.
1 Create a folder on iRidi Cloud, add a "pro"-type object to it.
2 Go to the "Projects" tab and upload the Server Project (*.sirpz).
3 Go to the Licenses tab and select one of the options:
- Activate trial mode - 60 days of continuous operation. It allows to invite end users to test projects.
- Associate the Object with commercial license:
- If using a hardware server or having an already purchased license, select it from the licenses, which have been already paid for;
- If the license is not purchased - create one and pay for it. To calculate the license price correctly, download the final versions of server and panel projects (with all necessary drivers and server tags).
Linking the server to a cloud object
The server receives the license and the project from the cloud, but, the server is authorized not the user, but the developer (integrator) using the login and password on the iRidi site. Start the server, open the web interface ( see the instructions for your server) and activate the server:
- Enter the login and password of the integrator account in which you created the object with the server project;
- Select the service password to access the server settings. Default 2007;
- Then, you will see a list of objects and server projects from iRidi Cloud. Select the previously created project that should work on the server and click on it to download.
If there are no server projects in the cloud at the time of authorization, you can upload them later In the server web interface, Cloud tab, Projects menu.
Only 1 server can be linked to an object, do not upload a project from this cloud object to another server!

Deactivation of server with online license
Deactivation of the server is necessary if you need to unlink the server from the cloud object. For example, if you want to link another server to a cloud object.
Follow these steps to deactivate the server:
1 Go to the server’s web interface on the Deactivate Server.
2 Click the Deactivate and confirm the password from the integrator account. All data (projects, databases, logs, etc.) will be deleted, the server will become inactive and will be removed from your list of servers on iridi.com.
Offline server activation
The offline license allows to:
- Activate the server without Internet access and without Cloud access iRidi Cloud;
- Store visualization projects and server projects directly on the server in encrypted form;
- Download visualization projects directly from the server;
- Create local accounts to control access to visualization projects;
- Restrict access to server administration using PIN and PUK codes.
Offline license restrictions:
- In visualization projects, only the following drivers can work: SIP, IP cameras, iRidium Server. Other drivers can only work on the server;
- Cloud services (PUSH notifications, downloading projects from the cloud, voice assistants, drivers that require binding through the iridi.com website) will not work;
- Remote control (remote control) will not be available. The panel can connect to the server only within the local network;
- Up to 25 panels can be connected to an offline license server at a time.
Activation of offline license
Ensure that you have purchased a dedicated offline license with a hardware and software license key. Connect the server with the installed USB key to power.
Open server web interface. Go to activate the offline license using the button Login using offline license. If you do not find this button in the web interface of the server and are sure that you have purchased a correct offline license, please contact technical support: Support@iRidi.com.
In the next steps, you should read and accept the terms and conditions of the offline license, and then establish PUK and PIN codes.
Creating PIN and PUK
Before you set the PIN and PUK codes, it is necessary to read and accept conditions and restrictions server offline operation.
Projects load
To load projects, go to the section Projects.
Use the Upload project button to select and upload projects to the server
The Projects page contains information about the server memory used. If memory is insufficient, you will not be able to upload projects to the server. If it's necessary, you can delete the extra projects and free up space on the server.
Creating users (Panel accounts)
To connect the panel to the server, you need to create a panel account in the server's web interface. Several panels can be authorized on one account at once.
To create an account, go to the web server interface to Panel accounts and click Add new account.
The account has two possible types: integrator and end user.
End user can download visualization projects on the panel and use the downloaded projects. Integrator has the same rights and additionally can change the project settings through the system menu of the i3 Pro application.
Панельный аккаунт обязательно должен иметь логин и пароль для обеспечения защиты от стороннего вмешательства. Этот логин будет использоваться при авторизации в приложении i3Pro.
Также вы можете выбрать список доступных проектов для этого аккаунта, а в дальнейшем его изменить.
Аккаунт можно удалить, в следствии, все авторизованные на этом аккаунте панели будут разавторизованы, а проекты удалены.
Download projects to panel
To connect the panel to the server and for further access to projects, you need to log in from the panel -
select Login with username and password.
To switch to offline mode, open the authorization settings and select the connection mode Local. Enter your login and password from the previously created panel account and the local IP address of the offline server.
Deactivation of server with offline license
To reset the controller to factory settings, follow these steps:
1 On the disconnected controller, press the Prog button.
2 Hold down the Prog button, and connect the power to the controller.
3 Keep pressing the Prog button until the LED goes through the following sequence: change three times (red > green > blue) > steady red (about 1 second). Release the button only when this sequence is complete.
4 After that, the controller will reset the settings, it will restore the factory firmware, and also activate automatic receiving of the address by DHCP.
