Offline Licensing
Purchase and use of an offline license in iRidium.
The parameters of the purchased license cannot be changed after purchase. This means that it is impossible to expand it by the number of tags and panels.
An offline license suits objects with isolated local networks (Air-Gapped Network) without access to the Internet thus to iRidi Cloud.
To buy a server with an offline license contaсt iRidi Sales Department at
contact@iridi.com.

Supported hardware platforms
You can use an Offline license only with the following iRidi Pro Server platforms:
Activation of an Offline License
To activate iRidi Server offline license, a hardware software license key is used. It allows to the server to work without connection to iRidi Cloud.
Panel and server projects are downloaded to a secure area of the server file system with the help of iRidi Server web-interface.
The web-interface is used to create panel account and to give access rights to visualization projects. i3 pro app and upload of panel projects is done directly via a server in the local network without iRidi cloud.
Use password and recovery password are used to protect against unauthorized access to the settings and the web-interface of the server. The codes contain 6 symbols: Latin letter of upper and lower register and Arabic numerals.
A recovery password is used to restore access and to create a new Password, in case the old one is lost or after 3 unseccessful attempts to enter a password.
In case a recovery password is entered 3 times wrongly, access to the administration interface is blocked forever. But uploaded projects will continue their work. To restore access to the server, reset the server to default settings.
To ensure information security:
- password and recovery password codes are stored on the USB-key in a special area using the symmetric AES-128 encryption algorithm.
- The connection between iRidi Pro Server and panels with a visualization interface is possible via the patented iRidium Protocol using the symmetric “Grasshopper” block encryption algorithm with a key length of 256 bits.
Capabilities of a Server with an Offline License
An offline license allows to:
- activate the server without access to the Internet and to iRidi Cloud;
- store visualization and server projects directly on the server in an encrypted form;
- download visualization projects to a panel directly from the server;
- create local account to control access to visualization projects;
- limit access to administrating the server with the help of password and recovery password.
Limitations of an offline license:
- Only the following drivers can work in visualization projects: SIP, IP-cameras, iRidium Server. The remaining drivers can work only on the server;
- Cloud services (PUSH-notifications, project download from the cloud, voice assistants, drivers requiring assignment via iridi.com) do not work;
- Remote control is not available. Panels connect to the server only in the local network;
- Up to 25 panels can be connected to a server with an offline license at the same time.
- It is not possible to connect to a panel activated on another controller.
- With an offline license, it is not possible to transfer projects to the server or client via transfer.
- The iRidi Server driver will not be able to work in the server project.
Server Settings
Activation of an Offline License
Check that you bought a special offline license with a hardware software key. Connect power to the server with a USB key.
Open web interface of the server. Read and accept the offline license terms and conditions, then create password and recovery password codes.
Creating password and recovery password
Starting with version iRidi Server 1.3.83.42431 dated October 10, 2025, full-featured passwords are used to log in to the system.
Logging in with PIN/PUK codes is still available, but when replacing them, you must set full-featured passwords.

To create the codes it is necessary to:
1 Open the server web interface;
2 Enter the password/recovery password (12-30 characters, Arabic numerals 0-9 and Latin letters A-Z, a-z, special characters).
If you enter the password incorrectly:
- one time - you see the "Attempts left: 3" error, you can try to enter thepassword again (you have 3 attempts left);
- two times - you see the "Attempts left: 2" error, you can try to enter the password again in 5 minutes (you have 2 attempts left);
- three times - you see the "Attempts left: 1" error, you can try to enter the password again in 1 hour (you have 1 attempt left);
- four times - you have no attempts left to enter the password, you see the page for entering the recovery password in 4 hours.
If you enter the recovery password incorrectly:
- one time - you see the "Attempts left: 2" error, you can try to enter the recovery password again in 24 hours (you have 2 attempts left) ;
- two times - you see the "Attempts left: 1" error, you can try to enter the recovery password again in 24 hours (you have 1 attempt left);
- three times - blocking occurs
After you authorize in the web interface with the password, you have 30 minutes before the session is automatically ended. To re-enter the web interface, authorize with your password again.

The "Projects" section contains information about used server memory. If memory is not enough you can't upload projects to the server. If it is necessary you can delete unused projects from the server to free memory.
Project Administration
Server Project
At the moment, you can only delete a server project or replace the current project with a new one.

To connect a panel to the server, a panel account must be created in the server web-interface. Several panels can be authorized in one account.
To create an account, go to the Panel accounts section of the web-interface and click Add new account.
There are two possible types of accounts: integrator and end user.
An End user can download visualization projects to a panel and use downloaded projects. An Integrator has the same rights and in addition can change priject settings on the system menu of i3 pro.
A panel account must have a login and password for protection against unathorized access. This login is also used to authorize in i3 pro. You can also choose a list of available projects for this account and edit it later on.
An account can be deleted. When an account is deleted, all panels authorized in this account are unauthorized and projects are deleted.
User Administration
Administrator (Integrator)
There is always a default user on the server. A login (Integrator) and password are defined for it. Administrator account is not editable. All projects on the server are available for this account.
